minnesota AFP's 36th Annual Conference
powering what's new in treasury and finance

Make Minnesota AFP’s 36th Annual Conference your destination – Powering What’s New in Treasury and Finance on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Join us at the St Paul RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minnesota – Just minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.

Our conference is acclaimed as one of the leading Treasury/Financial Management conferences in the country. Attendees come from across the country to unite through education, collaboration of ideas and dialog between colleagues. Strategize with more than 550 corporate treasury, investment banking and finance professionals at our 2018 Conference. Learn about advances in your work world! The 2018 Conference provides you with motivating sessions that accentuate how to boost productivity and profitability for our industry. Our one-day conference will equip you with industry insights you can take back to your office and incorporate instantaneously.

When you join us you will be able to share solutions with your peers and partake in a first class program containing sessions that embody key concerns that are targeted on today’s and tomorrow’s economy. Hear from influential industry speakers who will impart their timely educational programs encompassing 35 sessions within seven tracks, along with our fascinating breakfast/keynote speakers who will challenge you to break through to excellence. You will want to explore some amazing sessions that will transform your world: “Robotics is Real and We’re Living It!” “Back to the Drawing Board-Economic Lessons from this Month,” “How to Manage Treasury in an Era of Disruption” and “Creating an Engaged Workforce.” The sessions range from Basic to Intermediate and Advanced. You can download more information (with the links below):

The professional session tracks offered this year are:
  • Corporate Finance
  • Risk Management
  • Liquidity Management
  • Global Treasury & Tax
  • Payments
  • Treasury Management
  • Toolbox

Our Breakfast Speaker is Fran Zeuli and his session is titled: "Tapping The Power of Creativity and Gratitude On Your Finance or Treasury Team." So many great things happen when we rediscover our creativity and live with gratitude. We’re not just more productive, we also laugh more and are healthier too – the workplace and personal benefits are invaluable. This is of particular importance given the increasing job demands that finance and treasury professionals face each day. Fun Is Good’s Chief Fun Officer will share steps, stories and a music video or two to illustrate how to reclaim creativity and gratitude in these challenging times when most of us are focused on financial results. Fran’s humor, personal experiences, best (and worst) practices and exercises will punctuate the key points of building a fulfilled and successful team.

Minnesota AFP’s 2018 Keynote Speaker is Freddie Ravel. His Keynote address is: "How Treasury and Financial Professionals Achieve the Rhythm of Success." CFOs, Treasurers, VPs of Finance and their banking and financial service providers all have one thing in common—they’re expected to have all the answers for their employees and customers in today’s ever-changing financial markets and economic climate. In the constant demand to drive results, how do they cut through the clutter and noise to forge ahead when such critical information and crucial decisions are hanging over their heads…or when a wrong move can have devastating results?

Freddie shows the solutions to these challenges are within the four major principles of music. Recently commended by Eric Garcetti, the mayor of the city of Los Angeles, for creating a system to “renew the national and international economy,” Ravel’s unique approach of applying music to successful business dynamics takes you on an interactive journey to achieving success and clarity through Melody (leadership), Harmony (collaboration/teamwork) and Rhythm (timing) to achieve the ultimate result—the SCORE (ROI/bottom line) where teams learn how to better listen, engage and achieve collaborative success.

You will want to navigate through our Exhibit Hall to meet exhibitors, as they will be located around the perimeter of the Hall, allowing snacks, beverages, and networking tables to be placed in the center.
