Risk and Fraud: how technology advancement informs our defenses

Technological innovations impact payments, fraud attacks and payment improvements. Keeping up with the rapid pace of technology evolution is a challenge for corporate finance and treasury professionals. This session will summarize important innovations and identify key vulnerabilities and opportunities. What are the essential components of future payment security? What do payment innovations like faster payments and wider adoption of digital payments mean to corporate risk management? The session will feature highlights of recent Federal Reserve Bank research on effectiveness of payments fraud mitigation tools used by financial institutions and merchants. It will also describe current industry efforts led by the Federal Reserve to improve payments speed, safety and efficiency in the US.

Our speaker is Guy Berg, VP, Payments, Standards, and Outreach Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis
