Big Data and Banking Trends


The session will provide general information on Big Data and explore how large corporate banks have initially introduced Big Data in their services to clients. In addition, it will provide insights on how large corporate banks may use Big Data in the future.


This intermediate level program will meet the following learning objectives:

  • Attendees will have the opportunity to understand the basic components of Big Data.
  • Attendees will learn how large corporate banks have utilized Big Data in their product offerings.
  • Learn and discuss how the future of Big Data fits into the product offering of large corporate banks.

Speaker Bio:  Tim Stauffer, CTP/Product Manager - BNY Mellon
Tim Stauffer is a product manager in the Information Services group for BNY Mellon Treasury Services. Mr. Stauffer supports the TreasuryEdge product, BNY Mellon’s Internet-based balance reporting and transaction initiation product.

Mr. Stauffer is a Certified Treasury Professional and holds a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University and a master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

Participants can earn 1.0 CTP/CCM/FP&A credit or 1.0 CPE credit.

Advanced Preparation - A handout will be sent to all registered participants to read before the session.

All cancellations must be received in writing prior to noon two days before any monthly seminar/meeting.  We encourage substitutions at any time, let us know in writing via email or the person can just check with us at the event.  All no shows will be invoiced if not already paid.  Cancellations received more than 48 hours prior to the seminar receive a 100% refund.  Cancellations not received 48 hours prior to the meeting date will not be honored.  Requests for refunds must be received via email.  For more information regarding refund, complaint and/or program cancellation policies, please contact our office at 763-577-0018.


LUNCH:  Beef tenderloin tips with a mushroom red wine sauce, wild rice pilaf, includes Jax house salad, bread and butter service, coffee or tea. Dessert: Sherbet.

  • Member Pricing $35.00 per person through Tuesday, May 8, 2018, after Tuesday pricing is $45 per member.
  • Non-Member Pricing $49.00 per person through Tuesday, May 8, 2018, after Tuesday pricing is $59.00 per non-member.
