Faster Payments; the Good, Bad and Ugly

The last year has seen unprecedented change in the payments space. Not only did we see the ACH network allow same-day payments but the Fed’s Faster Payments Task Force completed its work and published a paper outlining what needs to be done in the US to enable real-time payments. And while all this was going on the Clearing House built a real-time payments “rail” that will roll out over the next year or two. What’s the impact of all this? Come to lunch and find out!!

This intermediate level program will meet the following learning objectives:

  • Attendees will gain understanding of what the Fed's Faster Payments Task Force has completed.
  • Attendees will be given the tools to understand what has to be done in the US to complete real-time payments.
  • Attendees will learn the potential impact of a real-time payments "rail".
