President's Message

July/August 2020

Will the craziness ever end??? As we continue to adjust, and re-adjust, to whatever the “new normal” is for this week, the MNAFP Board is putting a lot of time and thought into how we can provide credit and networking opportunities during the 2020-2021 year. We will not let the COVID challenges stop us from our mission to “Provide a forum for the exchange of information, ideas and best practices for Finance Professionals”, and get you the credits you need this year.

While we are still working on many of the details, our plan is to follow the traditional MNAFP Luncheon Schedule throughout the year. The schedule will be posted soon, and although the first meetings will likely be virtual, the times and dates should not change once they are posted.

Due to the uncertainty of absolutely everything before our conference, the board decided to not hold board elections last March. The existing 2019-2020 Board has graciously agreed to serve in their current positions for another term. Unfortunately, this means you will have to put up with my President’s messages for another year, but don’t worry, I am a strong supporter of term limits, so I promise, this will be my last year.

We appreciate everyone’s support continued membership and flexibility as we move forward.

Enjoy the summer!

Shaundra Lex
