MNAFP Benefits of Membership


The Minnesota Association for Financial Professionals is a nationally recognized, non-profit organization with more than 1,000 individual members. As one of the Midwest’s leading and most active professional associations, MNAFP distinguishes itself by seeking to advance the treasury, investment, financial management and financial service professions, by facilitating communication among professionals, promoting awareness of the latest trends and technological advancements in the field, and providing innovative services for the education and professional development of its members.

 

MNAFP members come from diverse businesses and organizations—from leading financial institutions and nationally recognized companies to universities and colleges, nonprofits, and well-known regional firms. Business memberships consist of both corporate practitioners and financial service providers. MNAFP has approximately 175 member companies, reflecting the numerous Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding areas. In addition, other non-profit organizations such as the Upper Midwest ACH Association (UMACHA) and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis are also members and regular participants in MNAFP-sponsored events.


MNAFP Membership Pricing:

Minnesota AFP's membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. Membership pricing is $150 for companies with less than 10 members. Membership pricing is $300 for companies with 10 or more members.  If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Grabowski via email here


Membership is by company
and participation by multiple representatives of member firms is encouraged. Each company has one person designated with voting rights and this person is considered the primary member.  Annual dues cover the fiscal year July 1 to June 30.


When you join MNAFP, you receive an array of benefits:

  • Expand your knowledge through educational conferences, seminars, and eight monthly meetings featuring programs about the latest treasury and financial management topics.
  • Earn continuing education credits for the AFP certified treasury professional (CTP) and certified cash manager (CCM) programs.
  • Earn continuing education credits for the FP&A professional program.
  • Network with colleagues through various social and business activities that allow you to share your expertise, express your professional opinion, and build a reputation within the industry.
  • Preferred pricing for monthly meetings.  Member registration is $35 per person (late registration is two days prior to meeting and the rate changes to $45), and Non-member registration pricing $49 per person (late registration is two days prior to meeting and the rate changes to $59). 
  • Preferred pricing for our annual conference.  Members receive a $75 discount for their conference fees. 
  • Affiliation with the national Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), which provides up-to-date notification of national issues, industry standards, regulatory concerns, and employment opportunities.  (AFP membership is separate from the MNAFP membership.)
  • Unrestricted access to our web site that puts you in touch with the latest industry developments, including secure access to MEMBER ONLY parts of the MNAFP site.
  • Search current job postings specifically geared toward the treasury, investment, financial management and financial service professions.  Post your resume, and learn more about companies looking for top treasury and finance professionals.
  • Membership in our regional MNAFP gives you 1 additional CTP/CCM credit per year.
  • If you are elected to serve on the board of MNAFP you receive 4 CTP/CCM credits per one year term.

Your membership dues also help fund programs that are available to the community at large, including non-MNAFP members.

One of the primary objectives of the Minnesota AFP is to promote education, communication and enhanced recognition of the treasury and financial management professions. The scholarship programs offered by the Association our partnerships with recognized business leaders within the community and colleges and universities serving the State of Minnesota is the primary way in which MNAFP achieves this objective. Scholarships for students pursuing business administration, finance, or accounting degrees.
