BOB FOSTER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

Bob Foster was one of the original founders of the Twin Cities Cash Management Association (now known as the Minnesota Association for Financial Professionals), and was an extremely active member. Bob spent his treasury career working for 3M Company. He spoke at numerous monthly meetings and at the association’s annual conference. Bob was known for his hard work, honesty and integrity. He had a strong desire for continuous learning in the treasury field and was known for sharing his knowledge with others. Bob passed away in 1994.

In Bob's memory, the Association established an annual scholarship award. "I have been involved with MNAFP for over 15 years and I am honored to have been nominated and awarded the 2016 Bob Foster Scholarship. This award included a trip to the annual conference which was in Orlando, Florida. As a first time AFP Conference attendee there were so many sessions to choose from and many opportunities to network with over 6,000 attendees. I was most amazed at the exhibit hall as it took me several days to make my way around to each of the booths.

I would like to thank the MNAFP for honoring me with this scholarship. It’s a great way to recognize volunteer contributions while reinforcing the importance of continuing education and networking."

Sara Larsen, Vice President
Bremer Bank
