President's Message

September 28, 2015

We had a fantastic beginning of the program year with over 100 people learning about payment optimization from Jody L. Lutz, SVP (PNC)!

I am looking forward to another great educational and networking session at our October 8th meeting when Christopher J. Golomb Special Agent/FBI will provide an Update on Cyber Security Threat Information for the Key Financial Sector Partners. According to the AFP, cyber risk is a key threat to finance professionals.

Before the October 8th meeting starts, Normita Rahman/CBRE, Inc. and Jeanne Hilpisch/Associated Bank will share their "AFP Conference Planning - Top 10 Tips to Making the Most of Your Conference". This is for new AFP attendees to maximize the value of their time at the conference. The informal discussion will be held from 11:30 am - 11:50 am in the room adjacent to the main meeting room.

Future meeting dates – We are working on some great educational sessions, so please mark your calendars with our upcoming 2015 meeting dates:

  • October 27, 2015 – Will be held at Pinstripes - Members' Networking Event is now open.
  • November 12, 2015 -  Session will focus on Short-Term Cash Strategies in Today's Headlines/Environment. Speaker is William Thompson, Director/Wells Fargo Securities LLC
