President's Message

January 19, 2016

Thank you to the 75+ registered people who attended the January meeting to learn more about Cyber Risk, one of the tops risks for companies.

I am really looking forward to our upcoming meeting regarding the Financing of the Vikings Stadium on February 9 (Tuesday)!   Ms. Michele Kelm-Helgen, Chair of the Minneapolis Sports Facility, will provide details of the financing and economic development around the stadium. If you have not already registered you can do so here.  Attendees will earn 1.0 CTP/CCM/FP&A/CPE recertification credits (all for only $35 with early registration for members!).

This year’s annual conference will be on Tuesday, April 26 at St. Paul’s RiverCentre. We are excited to announce our two headline speakers. For the first time, and merely a coincidence, both are from Minnesota.

The breakfast general session begins at 7:30 AM. Grab a plate from the buffet and head into the main ballroom to hear Minnesota-based sportscaster and journalist Mike Max. Mike will talk about recapturing a can-do spirit and discuss 5 reasons people succeed.

Our luncheon keynote is Jenny Evans, an author and the founder of “PowerHouse Performance.” Jenny will discuss performance, stress, and resiliency.

Please check our website soon for more details.

If you are looking to hire or make a job change in 2016, please consider posting a position or looking at the postings. The career center is focused on the finance marketplace and is a great resource to find qualified candidates or find a new job.

Are you considering taking the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) exam? The course starts February 23rd. You can view information about the course on our website here.
