President's Message

January 26, 2015

We were thrilled to have over 100+ participants for the January panel session on “The Evolving Landscape of Treasury” with our panel including the Assistant Treasurer from Best Buy, Chris Samson, Director of Treasury Operation from The Mosaic Company, Ken Bodell and the Director of Cash Management from Xcel Energy, Eric Gray.

In alignment with the Association for Finance Professionals (AFP) and our vision and mission, MNAFP wants to provide forums for all Finance professionals.

For this coming month’s session on February 12th, we will be having our first Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) session titled “The Impact of FP&A in Your Organization” presented by a panel of senior finance leaders including John Coskran from Capella University, Eric Beran from CSM Corp, Matt Weiner from CBRE, and Lisa Krocak from BlueCross Blue Shield. The session will be moderated by Chris Fodor, CFO from CSM Corp.

These senior finance leaders will be sharing their perspectives on a broad range of Finance related topics including budgeting/forecasting, acquisitions/disposition analysis, management decision support, hot topics, best practices and leadership. The session will be followed up with a Q&A from members.

FP&A professionals play an integral part of all organizations including analysis of qualitative and quantitative factors affecting the financial performance, analysis of data and facts to support stakeholders, budgeting and forecasting, etc.

We encourage all of our members to attend and to extend invites to their FP&A colleagues.  If you are a member, your guest from your organization can attend at the discounted pricing.
